The Journeyperson Welder performs skilled welding and metal fabrication work in accordance with technical drawings, specifications and applicable standards. This role is responsible for fabricating custom prototypes, production parts, jigs, fixtures and metal structures to meet customer and quality requirements within a fast‑paced production environment. The Journeyperson Welder works collaboratively with Supervisors and Lead Hands to support continuous improvement initiatives, achieve production targets and ensure welding is completed to established parameters using GMAW, FCAW and GTAW processes.

Read, interpret and apply engineering drawings, blueprints, welding symbols and welding procedure specifications to ensure components are manufactured as designed and suitable for their intended application.
