Position Overview
Stone Age Marble Ltd. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Lead Inventory & Purchasing Coordinator to oversee inventory control, purchasing activities, and supplier coordination. This role is integral to maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring timely procurement, and supporting operational efficiency across production and project delivery.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, sound organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of purchase orders (POs), including creation, verification, and tracking
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors regarding pricing, availability, and order status
- Coordinate and schedule material deliveries to align with operational requirements
- Maintain detailed and accurate inventory records, including labelling and categorization of materials
- Input and update slab pricing and product data within internal systems
- Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery documentation
- Conduct regular reviews and double-check POs and inventory data to ensure accuracy
- Support project and production teams by ensuring materials are accurately tracked and allocated
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in inventory management, purchasing, or logistics coordination
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and accountability
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with suppliers and internal teams
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and/or inventory management systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving discrepancies
- Experience in the construction, stone, or related industry is considered an asset
