Job Overview
We are seeking a hands-on and self-driven Industrial Maintenance Supervisor to lead the continued operation, reliability, and safety of all company equipment and maintenance systems. This role combines technical millwright expertise with leadership responsibilities, including preventive maintenance planning, SOP development, inventory control, and coordination of maintenance activities across the facility. The successful candidate will work closely with the Owner and once in place the Plant Operations Manager and maintenance team to ensure equipment remains in safe, proper working condition and that all work is completed efficiently and in accordance with company health and safety policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve equipment failures, and perform periodic inspections of equipment and systems.
- Perform mechanical repair and maintenance activities throughout the plant on equipment and facilities.
- Support design, drawing, fabrication, construction, installation, and maintenance of new projects and equipment.
- Work with motors, hydraulics, pneumatic systems, bearings, gearboxes, water heating and cooling systems, blueprints, schematics, equipment installations, and rigging.
- Perform welding and fabrication as required.
- Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment output, reliability, and process efficiency.
- Execute preventive maintenance activities, including troubleshooting and repairs to production equipment, hydraulic systems, and pumps in a timely manner.
- Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs, maintenance schedules, and preventive maintenance programs.
- Create a maintenance management system (CMMS) in excel to process work orders, manage PMs, and update equipment records.
- Create and oversee inventory controls for consumables, maintenance parts, and supplies.
- Support divisional and corporate objectives related to health and safety, productivity, continuous improvement, innovation, quality, and waste reduction.
- Supervise and support maintenance staff, temporary workers, and contractors as required.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Strong documentation skills and the ability to accurately complete designs, SOPs, maintenance logs, and project records.
Qualifications And Experience
- Industrial Millwright / Certified Industrial Millwright 433A (Red Seal) preferred, or equivalent field experience.
- MMP or CMRP credentials or proven experience a must.
- Welding experience is required.
- 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment, experience in a MRF is an asset
- Supervisory experience is an asset.
- Clean driver’s abstract.
- Physically fit and able to perform demanding work in hot, noisy, dusty, indoor and outdoor environments.
- Able to climb stairs and ladders, kneel, crawl, stoop, bend, stand for long periods, and lift to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays when required.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday.
- Overtime may be required.
- Occasional weekend work as needed.
Pay: $40.00-$56.00 per hour
