Job duties:
● Coordinate daily schedules and delegate tasks for pavement marking and zone painting crews across various highway, bridge, and municipal infrastructure projects.
● Read and interpret civil blueprints and municipal road plans to determine the scope of work for line painting, crosswalks, and custom community awareness markings.
● Oversee the application of specialized infrastructure marking materials, including traffic paints, thermoplastics, and reflective beads.
● Supervise road paint removal operations, providing technical guidance to crews utilizing grinding, water blasting, soda blasting, and blackout application techniques.
● Collaborate directly with Almon’s Traffic Control division to ensure temporary lane closures, crash trucks, and arrow boards are properly deployed to protect painting crews.
● Monitor on-site painting operations on bridges and live roadways to ensure strict adherence to OTM Book 7 (Temporary Conditions) safety regulations and quality control procedures.
● Manage the inventory of industrial road paints, solvents, and blasting materials, ensuring line painting trucks and surface preparation equipment are well-maintained.
● Train new personnel on the safe operation of heavy-duty pavement painting equipment, high-pressure blasting machinery, and roadway safety protocols.
● Liaise with municipal clients, general contractors, and site supervisors to communicate project progress, address logistical issues, and conduct final site inspections for quality assurance.
Education: Completion of a secondary school is required.
Work Experience: 1-2 years of experience working in the same field/Occupation is required.
