Job Details
The City of St. Albert is recruiting an individual to join our Emergency Services department as a Senior Municipal Enforcement Officer. Reporting to Peace Officer Program Supervisor, this position will be 1 of 2 officers that are responsible for coaching, supervising, reviewing work, and scheduling the daily operations of the Municipal Enforcement Officers as well as doing active enforcement and investigating of applicable Municipal and Provincial laws as required.
Qualifications

A two-year College Diploma in the field of law enforcement including 5 years of operational enforcement experience, coupled with entry-level supervision experience.

Level 1 Community Peace Officer Appointment from Alberta Justice and Solicitor General.

Certifications in Emergency Vehicle Operation, Standard First Aid/CPR, Defensive Driving, and Radar/Laser operation.
- Completion of Officer Safety and weapons training, including OC Spray and Baton.

A thorough knowledge of the court process, the justice system, and rules of evidence, and ready to testify in court.

Valid Pare/Copat/Popat Test results.

A valid Class 5 Alberta Driver's license.
Hours of Work
Rotating schedule (7 days/week with weekend coverage), totaling 72 hours biweekly, with a regular day off (RDO) every two weeks.
Compensation
-
The salary ranges from $90,875.41 - $108,480.34 per year, including a comprehensive benefits package with a flexible spending account, pension plan, and accrued paid vacation starting at 3 weeks per year.
