The Role
As a Site Supervisor Assistant / Carpenter, you will support the Site Supervisor in coordinating and completing commercial construction projects while performing skilled carpentry work. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting the Site Supervisor with daily site operations and project coordination.
- Performing general carpentry, framing, finishing, millwork installation, repairs, and other construction tasks.
- Coordinating materials, deliveries, and subcontractors as directed.
- Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
- Using a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe job site.
- Assisting with site documentation, inspections, and project reporting.
- Following project schedules and communicating effectively with supervisors, trades, and clients.
- Supporting compliance with all health and safety requirements.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience as a Site Supervisor Assistant, Carpenter, or in a similar commercial construction role.
- Strong carpentry skills and knowledge of commercial construction practices.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
- Steel-toed boots and a cell phone.
- Must reside in Winkler or the surrounding area
