Duties
- Operate demolition excavators with various attachments such as shears, pulverizers, breakers, and grapples with skill and precision.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of all machinery to ensure safety and optimal performance.
- Safely demolish structures according to project specifications, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues promptly and effectively.
- Assist with site preparation activities including grading, backfill, and remediation.
- Coordinate with project managers and team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of demolition tasks.
- Maintain detailed logs of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Travel to remote sites in Various locations in Western Canada for project work.
Experience
- Proven demolition experience operating excavators with demolition attachments on commercial or industrial sites.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Experience in demolition projects with a focus on safety compliance and precision work.
- Valid driver’s license with clean drivers abstract.
- 5-10 years of heavy equipment operation in diverse environments.
- Knowledge of construction site safety standards and protocols related to demolition activities.

Pay: $40.00-$48.00 per hour

- Heavy Equipment Operation: 5 years (preferred)
