Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight efficiently and securely. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, automotive repair, and freight handling, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining safety standards.
Duties
- Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks for freight transportation across designated routes to the USA
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on vehicles to ensure optimal performance
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transit
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs
- Assist with the operation of heavy equipment and perform minor automotive repairs when necessary
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate loading and unloading schedules
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience in freight transportation and commercial driving preferred
- Basic automotive repair skills are a plus
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols and traffic regulations
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
