Overview
Our Prince George, BC–based client is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist for a 3-month contract-to-hire opportunity . This role is fully onsite and requires hands-on experience supporting end users in a corporate environment.
Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day IT support for office hardware, including PCs, laptops, printers, and boardroom equipment
Support operating systems, Microsoft 365, and other business applications
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently, escalating when required
Manage and respond to service requests via phone, email, walk-ins, and ServiceNow
Install, configure, and maintain hardware, operating systems, and software applications
Troubleshoot network connectivity and related issues
Administer user accounts and support a client-server environment
Identify recurring issues and implement long-term solutions to improve stability
Ensure timely resolution of tickets while maintaining strong customer service standards
Required Experience & Qualifications
2+ years of experience in a Help Desk or Desktop Support role
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 (O365 suite)
Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and basic networking issues
Hands-on experience with device setup, installation, and configuration
Familiarity with ticketing systems (ServiceNow preferred)
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
