GP Brewing Co – Grande Prairie, AB
Full-Time | General Labourer
At GP Brewing Co., we're a locally owned and operated beverage manufacturing facility that's been producing high-quality, crushable, affordable beer since 2016. Along the way we've grown into beer, spirits, and ready-to-drink beverages, but one thing hasn't changed. We care about making great products with great people.
We believe that if you can do it better, you should. It's a simple philosophy that shapes how we work every day and reflects the standard we hold ourselves to.
The successful candidate will regularly operate company vehicles and equipment, making a valid Alberta Class 5 driver's licence, clean driver's abstract, and insurable driving record mandatory for this position.
What does the job look like?
No two days are the same.
One morning you might be clearing snow before the team arrives. After lunch you could be servicing equipment, repairing a door, cleaning production areas, moving materials with a skid steer, or tackling a maintenance project that's been waiting for the right person.
You'll manage many of your own daily tasks while working alongside every department in the company. The role requires someone who is comfortable working independently, notices what needs to be done, and takes pride in leaving things better than they found them.
Your day could include:
- Preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities
- Minor repairs and general maintenance
- Cleaning and sanitizing production equipment and work areas
- Snow removal and seasonal grounds maintenance
- Operating skid steers, forklifts, and other equipment
- Supporting production teams with labour and facility projects
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workplace
- Identifying maintenance concerns before they become larger problems
This is a physically demanding role that includes regular lifting, climbing, kneeling, working indoors and outdoors, and exposure to heat, cold, wet environments, machinery, cleaning chemicals, and changing weather conditions. You'll be trusted to organize your workload, manage your time effectively, and safely complete tasks with minimal supervision.
Who succeeds here?
The people who thrive in this role are self-starters.
They don't wait to be told what needs attention. They notice problems, take ownership, and enjoy finding practical solutions. They're comfortable working independently, but they also know they're part of a larger team and are always willing to jump in when needed.
We're looking for someone who is:
- Reliable and accountable
- Comfortable working independently and managing their own priorities
- Mechanically inclined and enjoys solving problems
- Physically fit and comfortable working in all seasons
- Safety conscious and detail-oriented
- Adaptable and willing to take on a wide variety of tasks
Experience in facility maintenance, construction, equipment operation, landscaping, manufacturing, agriculture, mechanical trades, or similar hands-on environments is an asset. A valid Alberta Class 5 driver's licence is required for this role, along with a clean driver's abstract. The successful candidate must be insurable under the company's vehicle insurance policy.
