Overview
We are seeking a friendly, motivated Full Time Barista to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food and beverage preparation, cash handling, and customer engagement within a vibrant food service setting. Prior experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred, but we welcome applicants eager to learn and grow with us.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks according to company standards.
- Operate POS systems, for order processing and cash handling.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing inquiries or concerns.
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling food items and maintaining cleanliness of work stations.
- Manage cash transactions efficiently while ensuring accuracy in math calculations and register operations.
- Maintain food safety standards by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and stocked with supplies throughout shifts.
- Assist with serving food and beverages at the counter or in designated seating areas as needed.
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Basic math skills for cash handling and register operations
- Knowledge of POS systems is a plus
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Ability to work full-time hours including weekends and holidays as scheduled
- Food safety handling certification is required.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
