Copcan Civil, part of Norland Limited, is a leader in civil contracting, construction management, environmental contracting, forestry, demolition, and aggregate sales across British Columbia. Our expertise spans a wide range of services, ensuring we can meet the diverse needs of our clients.
Reporting to the Corporate Health & Safety Manager, this office-based position provides administrative support to our Health & Safety team and operations throughout British Columbia. The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining and continually improving health and safety systems, coordinating training and documentation, supporting regulatory compliance, and helping drive our commitment to a safe and healthy workplace.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Maintain health and safety records, databases, and electronic filing systems.

Coordinate training records, orientations, certifications, and related documentation.

Assist with incident reporting, corrective action tracking, and safety statistics.

Prepare reports, presentations, meeting minutes, and safety communications.

Support workplace inspections, audits, and regulatory documentation.
-
Assist with injury management and return-to-work administration.
-
Coordinate PPE and other health and safety administrative activities.
-
Assist in the continual improvement, administration, and maintenance of Norland's Corporate Health & Safety Management System.

Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Corporate Health & Safety team.
Qualifications & Skills:
The ideal candidate will possess:

Administrative experience in a professional office environment.
-
Advanced Microsoft 365 skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

Excellent organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
-
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently.
-
Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
The following would be considered assets:

Experience in construction, industrial, or health and safety administration.

Experience with SiteDocs, Procore, B2W, LN, or similar software platforms.

Knowledge of COR audits, injury management, and return-to-work programs
Compensation:
The role is a permanent, full-time position with a typical starting salary range of $51,800 to $64,800 per annum. Variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate's qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
