Northern Strands is growing, and we're on the lookout for a passionate, detail-driven Marketing Coordinator, whose primary responsibilities are creating marketing content, editing and proofreading materials, coordinating event registrations and logistics, and maintaining marketing folders and resources. At times, this position will be required to travel to various trade shows and events, and multiple company locations. The Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in general organizational tasks necessary for the company’s continuing growth and brand recognition. What You’ll Be Doing
- Event and Trade Show Support
- Plan, coordinate, and assist with trade show and event logistics, set up, takedown, rentals, bookings, travel and other related tasks
- Organize charity events independently or collaboratively as part of a team (i.e., Make-a-Wish BBQ, EGADZ donation drive, Stuff the Bus)
- Register employees for local, domestic, and international events and communicate details accordingly
- File Maintenance
- Proofread, edit, and reformat marketing documents and material
- Organize marketing materials and folders, ensuring timely updates following the creation and revisions of documents
- Marketing Content Development and Refinement
- Capture high-quality photos and videos of products
- Review and refine blogs, social media posts, and general customer communications
- Create first drafts of business profiles, blogs, and social media content
- Design and update marketing materials, brochures and other physical literature
- Edit videos and photos using tools such as Photoshop slideshows and other visual content
- Create and revise PowerPoint presentations for NSGC departments
- Lead creation and publishing for the monthly internal newsletter
- Advertising and Promotional Support
- Provide support in scheduling, implementing, and monitoring of approved media campaigns (i.e., Google Ads, email blasts, etc.)
- Assemble promotional item packages for sponsorships, client engagements, and events
- Arrange pick-up and/or drop-off of marketing materials, promotional items, samples, and other departmental needs related to events or ongoing projects
- Participate in monitoring and reviewing Google Analytics data and discuss insights with Marketing Manager
- Company Merchandise Management
- Assist with ordering of marketing materials, decals, signage, and related items
- Perform inventory management for promotional items, clothing, and tradeshow materials
What You Bring to the Table
- University degree in marketing or business, or comparable education in a similar field is required
- Minimum of two (2) years work experience in marketing or related role
- Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience, that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities for the position would be considered an asset
- Previous work experience or training with tools such as Google Analytics and photo editing software is considered an asset
- Customer service experience is considered an asset
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and/or Photoshop
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong time-management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to handle competing priorities simultaneously; work well under pressure with time-sensitive deadlines
- Possess a positive and professional attitude, set a high standard, and convey professionalism at all times
- Any valid safety-related training certificates would be considered an asset (i.e., WHMIS, forklift, fall protection, etc.)
- Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities
