Responsibilities:
- Perform dental examinations and diagnose oral conditions
- Develop treatment plans and provide appropriate dental care
- Administer anesthetics and perform dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, and root canals
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive dental care
- Interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays and CT scans
- Collaborate with dental specialists when necessary
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe dental office environment
- Comply with HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school
- Valid RCDSO registration in good standing, membership at ODA
- Proven experience as a dentist
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems (e.g., Tracker) for medical documentation purposes
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and practices in a dental office setting
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff
