Overview
You are the face of Eden West Gourmet! More than just a cashier, you are a culinary guide for our customers. You will share your passion for food, help guests find the perfect ingredients, and ensure the sales floor is beautifully stocked, clean, and welcoming.
Duties
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner to build brand loyalty
- Assist in setting up promotional displays and ensuring brand consistency across all events
- Collect customer feedback and relay insights to the marketing team for continuous improvement
- Support sales efforts by encouraging product trials and answering customer questions effectively
- Represent the brand positively on social media platforms by sharing event photos and updates when appropriate
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth execution of promotional campaigns
- Customer Engagement: Provide warm, fast, and knowledgeable customer service; happily guide customers through our specialty selection and handle inquiries with grace.
- Store Readiness: Keep the sales floor, cash desk, and sampling stations immaculately clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies.
- Product Knowledge & Sales: Participate in product tastings and education to effectively answer customer questions and suggest complementary items.
- Merchandising & Inventory: Unpack, process, and beautifully stock new inventory arrivals; maintain accurate sales and inventory records at the cash desk.
Skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to speak confidently in public settings
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enabling effective engagement with diverse audiences
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
- Ability to perform product demos clearly and persuasively
- Creative thinking to develop engaging ways to promote products and connect with audiences
- Previous retail or hospitality experience preferred, but a vibrant personality and a passion for food are non-negotiable!
- Strong communication skills and a comfort level engaging with the public.
