About Aux Crochets
Aux Crochets is a French-inspired fine dining restaurant opening in Grand Bend. We’re building an elevated dining experience rooted in precision, hospitality, and seamless execution. Our 65-seat restaurant pairs classical French technique with seasonal, local ingredients, supported by a thoughtful wine and cocktail program.
We’re hiring Hosts and Food Runners / Bussers who take pride in pace, cleanliness, and teamwork—and who help service feel effortless for guests.

HostWhat you’ll do
- Welcome guests with a calm, polished presence; manage the door with confidence
- Manage reservations and walk-ins; quote wait times in a luxury tone (no operational language)
- Control seating pace (staggering tables, avoiding overloads, supporting a smooth kitchen rhythm)
- Coordinate bar seating as a pressure valve when appropriate; communicate handoffs clearly
- Capture and flag key notes (allergies, celebrations, VIPs) and communicate them to MOD/servers

- Confident speaking with guests (in person + on the phone)
- Reliable and calm under pressure
Food Runner / Busser What you’ll do
- Run food from pass to table quickly and accurately; confirm table numbers/seat positions and key notes (allergies/modifications)
- Clear plates, reset tables, polish/replace glassware, refresh water, and keep the dining room guest-ready
- Assist servers and bartender as needed (ice runs, glassware, restocking, quick guest touchpoints)
- Communicate clearly with kitchen + FOH team (missing items, delays, refires, table status)
- Maintain clean stations, keep pathways clear, support end-of-night breakdown and sidework

- Highly aware of cleanliness and details
- Comfortable moving quickly yet poloshed in a busy room (lifting trays, carrying plates, standing for long periods)
What We’re Looking For (Both Roles)
Experience
- Fine Dining Restaurant experience preferred (host, runner, busser, server assistant, or similar)
Qualities
- Urgency + accuracy
- Coachability
- Reliability
- Professional, polished presence
Nice-to-Have
- Fine dining or high-standard service experience
- Smart Serve Ontario (or willingness to obtain)
Schedule
- Service-based schedule: lunch and dinner service throughout the week
