Lot Attendant
Established domestic dealership is seeking a dependable, organized, and motivated Lot Attendant to join our team. This position plays a key role in ensuring our dealership operates efficiently by maintaining an organized vehicle inventory, preparing vehicles for sale and delivery, and supporting our Sales and Service departments. The successful candidate enjoys working both indoors and outdoors, takes pride in their work, and is committed to providing an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the appearance and organization of the dealership lot, showroom, and vehicle inventory.
- Safely move, park, and stage new, used, and customer vehicles throughout the dealership.
- Prepare vehicles for customer delivery, ensuring they are clean, fueled or charged, and presentation-ready.
- Receive, document, and organize incoming vehicle inventory.
- Install interior and exterior signage and marketing materials.
- Perform regular inspections of inventory to identify damage, or other concerns requiring attention.
- Assist with snow removal around vehicles, maintaining clear walkways, and keeping display areas clean and presentable.
- Transport vehicles between departments and off-site locations as required.
- Complete vehicle inventory updates, write PDIs, POs, and basic data entry using dealership computer systems.
- Assist with key management, vehicle locating, and inventory tracking.
- Support the Sales and Service departments with vehicle preparation and movement throughout the day.
- Follow all dealership safety policies and safe vehicle handling procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario Class G driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable driving a variety of vehicles, including pickup trucks and SUVs.
- Basic computer skills with the ability to learn dealership software and accurately enter information.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the workday.

This May Not Be the Right Fit If...
This position requires working both indoors and outdoors throughout the year, spending much of the day on your feet, safely operating a wide variety of vehicles, and using dealership computer systems to maintain accurate inventory records. If you prefer a primarily desk-based role or are uncomfortable working in changing weather conditions, this position may not be the right fit.
