Job Title: Planner/Scheduler III

Our client is seeking a Planner/Scheduler III to support complex construction project planning and execution activities. This senior-level role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing project schedules while collaborating with project teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
What's the Job?
- Develop, detail, expand, and maintain project schedules for one or more construction projects.
- Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to support planning and schedule development activities.
- Adhere to enterprise scheduling standards, including Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) requirements.
- Update, revise, and enhance project schedules throughout development and execution phases.
- Incorporate earned-value data, construction tracking information, and field reporting updates into project schedules.
- Analyze schedule performance and communicate impacts, risks, and opportunities to Project Managers and stakeholders.
- Develop and manage schedule performance indicators and project reporting metrics.
- Provide technical expertise related to scheduling, planning, and logistics.
- Create detailed “what-if” scenarios to evaluate project alternatives and support decision-making.
- Identify critical path activities and recommend schedule optimization strategies.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, partners, consultants, and project teams.
- Prepare and provide reports, schedule updates, and planning documentation required for project execution and completion.
- Support accurate and timely critical-path management through ongoing stakeholder engagement.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate planners/schedulers.
What's Needed?
- Technical college diploma or university degree in a related field.
- 5–10 years of related project scheduling and planning experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Expert-level proficiency with Primavera P6.
- Experience supporting oil and gas construction projects.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling methodologies, logistics, and critical path analysis.
- Ability to work independently and support project teams through all stages of the project lifecycle.
