We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a School Age Care provider. This role is essential in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children during after-school hours. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering their growth and development through educational activities and play.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and ensure the safety of children in care during after-school hours.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their emotional and social development.
- Communicate effectively with parents.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment conducive to learning and play.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team atmosphere focused on the well-being of the children.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in a school or childcare setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles is highly desirable.
- Experience in tutoring or providing educational support to school-age children is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to engage effectively with children of various ages are essential.
- A genuine passion for educating and nurturing young minds is crucial for success in this role.
- Must have current Responsible Adult Certificate
- Must obtain clear Criminal Record Check
- Current First Aid an asset.
- Must be minimum 19 years of age.
