This isn't like other operator jobs...
At The Iron Golf Club, we're building an 18-hole golf course and destination property from the ground up in Northern Ontario - entirely in house. Every fairway, bunker, road, and feature is being shaped by our crew.
We're looking for an Excavator Operator who takes pride in the seat, understands grade, and wants to be part of building something people will talk about forever.
This is a hands-on construction environment built for people who actually like operating equipment - not sitting around waiting for the next load.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Operating excavators (and possibly other equipment) for golf course construction, drainage, shaping, trenching, and earthworks
- Working closely with shaping crews, supervisors, and operators who build features with precision
- Reading stakes, elevations, and site layouts
- Assisting with material movement, culverts, infrastructure, and site prep
- Performing daily machine inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Jumping in where needed to keep the project moving
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Someone who respects equipment and takes care of their machine
- Good awareness around grade, finish work, and job site safety
- Ability to work long days outdoors in a fast-moving construction environment
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work without constant supervision
- Valid driver's license required
Experience with dozers, loaders, skid steers, rock trucks, or golf course shaping is a major asset - but not required.
