A well-established financial services client is seeking a Bilingual Collections Specialist to support high-volume account management activities within a fast-paced customer-focused environment. This role requires strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills while balancing customer service with risk mitigation and collections objectives.
- Manage high-volume inbound and outbound collections activity
- Negotiate payment arrangements and resolve delinquent accounts
- Maintain accurate account documentation and follow-up records
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines
- Assess account risk and recommend appropriate solutions or escalations
- Utilize collection and skip-tracing tools to support account resolution
- Collaborate with internal teams, including customer service and legal
- Support repossession, insurance, and loss mitigation activities as required
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and team objectives
- Bilingual in English and French (written and verbal)
- 2+ years of collections, finance, or related customer account management experience
- Automotive finance or financial services experience is considered an asset
- Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
- Open to bilingual new graduates will be considered
- Ability to manage high-volume workloads with strong attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- Organized, team-oriented, and capable of working independently
- Postsecondary education preferred
