Shift Details:
Morning: Monday to Friday (7:00 AM to 3:30 PM)
Job Details:
The responsibility of the hand press operator is to follow the instructions of the production manager or shift supervisor and ensure that the assigned production requirements are completed with minimal support. This would include review of the production schedule and be responsible to ensure the required parts are produced according to all instructions. The production hand press operator will also provide support to the company by actively monitoring daily production requirement, assisting in loading/unloading coils/materials, updating and filling out any documents, as well as and communicating to internal persons the requirement of the company.
- Produce quality parts efficiently in a noisy environment.
- Run hand presses and equipment.
- Operate assigned equipment safely and efficiently as per posted instructions.
- Assist in setups under lead of A operator.
- Hand Transfer Loading and Unloading of automotive stampings die punched parts (3lbs max x 1,600 pcs per shift).
- Lifting 50 lbs maximum loading and unloading bins.
- Operation of manual mechanical press.
- Dump scrap using Counterbalance forklift as required.
- Material handling of raw material, bins and finished/in-process goods with forklift as required.
- Work towards advancing your position and improving the company.
- Read and understand your employee manual.
- Work in compliance with IATF 16949 standards.
- Perform and record all findings of quality assurance inspections for all assigned parts produced as per control plan inspection form # 9.
- Follow non-conforming procedures as per form # 5 when stamped parts are not to specification.
- Tag each container with an appropriate label.
- Complete production sheets, give to supervisor at end of shift.
- Maintain lot traceability, inspection, and test status, using appropriate labeling as defined in part packaging instructions.
- Operate assigned equipment such as automatic progressive die presses and well as manual hand transfer.
- Operate Counterbalance forklift safely.
Other Requirements:
- Candidate must be comfortable working in a high intensity noisy environment.
- Always work in compliance with all legislative requirements of the Ontario Health and Safety Act.
- Work in a safe manner and observe all plant safety rules and regulations as posted in our plant and employee manual.
- Always wear and/or use all appropriate safety equipment as posted in our plant and employee manual.
- Report any abnormalities or unsafe conditions to Supervisor.
- Follow and comply with all housekeeping requirements.
- Be willing to perform any other reasonable production request.
- When required be available to work overtime.
- Be courteous and respectful with all other people at work.
- Be willing to learn and accept training.
Educational Requirements: High school secondary diploma
Computer Skills: Basic in Word, Excel, Power Point, ERP System and Outlook.
Licenses/Permits Required: Valid forklift license.
Physical Requirements: Able to perform heavy lifting safely, able to work in confined spaces, able to work physical strenuous jobs.
Communication Skills: Good written and oral English communication skills a must.

1) You possess at-least 2 years experience as a Hand Press Operator/ Manual Machine Operator & Counterbalance forklift operator preferably in an automotive industry .
2) You're committed to work for long term at-least for 2 years and get hired full time directly with the company after 3 months.
Other Details: High ankle steel-toes required.
