We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Family Care Home Caregivers and Respite Caregivers to provide exceptional in-home support to seniors. This role involves assisting individuals with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their well-being in a comfortable home environment. Ideal candidates will have a genuine passion for caregiving, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to each client's unique needs. Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice care is highly valued. Responsibilities
- Provide personalized care, including assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
- Administer medications accurately according to care plans
- Assist with mobility and heavy lifting as needed to ensure safety and comfort
- Support clients with dementia or disabilities through engaging activities and companionship
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
- Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to supervising healthcare professionals
- Attend all medical appointements
- Offer emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being
- Follow care plans meticulously and document care provided
Qualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospice, or home care preferred
- Knowledge of senior care, dementia care, and working with individuals with disabilities
- Strong caregiving skills with patience, empathy, and professionalism
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility safely
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Certification in medication administration is a plus but not required; training available for qualified candidates
- Valid background check clearance and reliable transportation required
- Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality care
- Reliable vehicle and acceptable driver's abstract
- Current First Aid/CPR
- Must be one primary caregiver available in the home all the time
