Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced General Contractor to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various construction processes, be proficient in reading blueprints and schematics, and have a comprehensive skill set that includes both hands-on construction work and project management. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Responsibilities .
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide project execution.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various construction.
- Perform carpentry tasks including cabinet installation and flooring installation.
- Execute plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical work, and tile laying as needed.
- Implement restoration techniques for existing structures requiring repairs or upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Experience
Candidates should have a proven track record in the construction industry with experience in the following areas:
- Blueprint reading
- Hand tools and power tools operation
- Construction estimating
- Carpentry, including cabinet installation
- Construction painting
- Plumbing and electrical experience
- Masonry work
- Heavy equipment operation
- Caulking techniques
- Flooring installation and tile laying
- Restoration projects
