The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for supporting customers, generating sales opportunities, and managing orders for a pipe manufacturing company. This role serves as a primary point of contact for contractors, distributors, industrial customers, and project managers, providing product information, pricing, quotations, and order support while helping drive revenue growth.

- Promote a high standard of customer service by ensuring timely communication and resolution of customer requests when responding to customer inquiries by phone, email, and online channels.
- Prepare and follow up on quotations, bids, and pricing proposals.
- Process sales orders and coordinate order fulfillment with production, inventory, and logistics teams.
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers while identifying new sales opportunities.
- Provide technical product information on pipe specifications, materials, dimensions, and applications.
- Monitor customer accounts, track sales activity, and maintain accurate records in CRM systems.
- Collaborate with outside sales representatives to support customer projects and strategic accounts.
- Resolve customer issues related to orders, deliveries, product availability, and service concerns.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
- Assist in achieving sales targets and profitability objectives.
- Build and maintain a sales pipeline by regularly contacting dormant, inactive, and prospective customers to identify opportunities and increase market share.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates for management review.
- Participate in customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events, as required.
- Other relevant duties, as requested.
- High school diploma required; post-secondary education in business, sales, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in inside sales, customer service, or industrial/manufacturing sales.
- Knowledge of pipe products, construction materials, industrial distribution, or manufacturing processes is an asset.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with CRM software, Microsoft Office, and ERP/order management systems.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and customer requirements.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
