The Opportunity
Our Surrey branch is seeking a Shipper/Receiver to join our warehouse team. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this role is responsible for supporting daily shipping, receiving, and general warehouse operations.
We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented individual who takes initiative, works well in a team, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and damage
- Verify quantities and match shipments against packing slips and documentation
- Prepare bills of lading, packing slips, and shipping labels
- Communicate with the Warehouse Manager to resolve discrepancies as needed
- Accurately pick and pack goods for transfer between branch locations as required
- Pick and pack orders accurately and within deadlines
- Use the warehouse management system (WMS) for order picking, transfers, receiving, and other warehouse operations
- Build and stage pallets for shipment
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and order pickers
- Maintain accurate records of shipments and completed orders
- Restock inventory and organize warehouse stock
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow all health, safety, and quality standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
- 3–5 years of shipping/receiving or warehouse experience (required)
- Forklift experience (preferred)
- Shipping experience (preferred)
- Experience using a warehouse management system (WMS) is an asset
- Customer service experience in a warehouse setting (an asset)
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn internal systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Comfortable working with numbers and inventory data
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift to 60 lbs.
