A well-established mechanical services company is seeking an experienced and motivated Burner Technician to join its growing team. This organization specializes in commercial and agricultural mechanical systems, providing installation, maintenance, and emergency service support across a variety of industrial, commercial, and agricultural environments.
The successful candidate will be safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working independently in the field while delivering exceptional service to clients.
Position Overview
We are currently seeking a licensed G1 or G2 Gas Technician with strong commercial and/or agricultural experience. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise installing, servicing, and troubleshooting large-scale gas-fired equipment in commercial and agricultural settings.
Oil Burner certification and refrigeration experience are considered strong assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair commercial and agricultural gas-fired equipment
- Work on boilers, unit heaters, radiant heaters, and heating systems
- Complete gas piping installations, upgrades, and pressure testing
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment and system issues efficiently and safely
- Ensure all work complies with current gas codes and safety regulations
- Complete service documentation and compliance reporting
- Provide professional and responsive customer service in the field
Required Qualifications
- Valid G1 or G2 Gas Technician License
- Minimum 3–5 years of commercial and/or agricultural experience
- Strong understanding of gas codes and safety standards
- Ability to work independently in field environments
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications
- Oil Burner certification (OBT1/OBT2 considered an asset)
- Refrigeration license or HVAC experience
- Experience working in agricultural environments, including barns or greenhouses
- Experience with commercial boilers and large BTU equipment
