About the Job
Reporting directly to The General Manager Anaerobic Digestion you will be comfortable with prioritization, planning, coordination, and organization, with an ability to respond and adapt in changing, high pressure environments. You will be able to assess problem situations, recognize issues, and use judgment to create solutions that meet required standards. This position is part time and the hourly rate is 25.36/hr.
What You’ll Be Doing
Receiving facility feedstocks, weighing and tracking customers.
Daily monitoring and checks on all plant equipment, tanks and buildings.
Misc. administrative duties such as truck tracking, invoicing, managing calls from customers.
Maintaining good site housekeeping, such as washing down equipment, cleaning trucks loading/unloading areas.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
Be on-call and available to respond to plant off hours when faults or notifications occur for trouble shooting.
Operation of plant is 24 hours, and on-call shifts will be scheduled for weekends and holidays 365/ Year.
Perform various ad-hoc duties as needed around the site.
Manage outbound Digestate handling & loading.
Operate and monitor digestion systems, pumps, mixers, and gas equipment.
Track and adjust process parameters.
Perform routine inspections and troubleshoot issues using sound problem-solving skills.
Respond to alarms and plant upsets during regular hours and on-call periods.
Here’s What You Need
- Minimum High School graduation or equivalent level of education.
- Experience in plant operations, wastewater, or similar field is an asset. Mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of AD biological processes.
- Greater than two years but less than or equal to three years in waste water industry.
A valid G Registration Ontario Driver’s Licence.
