Terra Nova Chevrolet is soliciting applications for the following position:
Automotive journeyman or 3rd/ 4th year apprentice
The successful applicant will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties:
· Perform mechanical repairs on passenger vehicles and trucks
· Assist other technicians in the repairs of vehicles
· Pre-delivery inspection of new vehicles
· Installing vehicle accessories
· Other duties as prescribed by the shop foreman
Experience and Skills Required:
· Must possess a valid driver's license and provide a driver's abstract
· Vehicle electronic diagnostic skills are essential
General Motors experience highly desired but not required
· Communication and listening skills are highly important in this position
· We are looking for candidates with a positive and outgoing attitude
· Training and mentoring will be provided on both the dealership's and General Motor's software infrastructure
Compensation is competitive and based established Journyman rates. This is a full time position during business hours from Monday to Friday. A comprehensive health plan is available once the candidate is beyond the probationary 3 month period. Paid vacation and paid leave are also part of the employment package.
