Black Tusk Fire & Security Inc. is one of BC’s most trusted fire safety and security providers, servicing the Sea to Sky region and Lower Mainland.
We are looking for a full-time certified Fire Protection Technician to join our ever-expanding team based in the Lower Mainland.
Duties:
- Perform maintenance, inspections and repairs on fire alarm, fire extinguisher, emergency lighting systems, as well as miscellaneous service work, as required.
- Complete work orders and report in a timely fashion
- Be a part of our paid, on-call rotation for emergency service work
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 - 3 year experience in the field; Registered with ASTTBC and experience with fire alarms (AL), fire extinguishers (EX), emergency lighting (EM), sprinkler systems (WA), special suppression (SP-S) and backflow.
- Knowledge of ULC, CSA and Canadian electrical codes and standards
- Possess ASTTBC and BCWWA certifications
- Self-starter who can take initiative
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills in English
- Valid driver’s license
