What You'll Do
As a member of the Tak Heating & Cooling team, you'll play an important role in delivering exceptional workmanship and a five-star customer experience on every job.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain residential HVAC and hydronic equipment.
- Work on furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, boilers, hot water tanks, and tankless water heaters.
- Accurately diagnose equipment issues and recommend the best solutions for homeowners.
- Complete installations that meet or exceed manufacturer specifications and BC code requirements.
- Read installation manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
- Protect customers' homes by treating every property with care and respect.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, office staff, and team members.
- Complete service documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Continuously develop your technical knowledge and stay current with industry best practices.
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for technicians who care about quality, professionalism, and creating an exceptional customer experience.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman HVAC Technician or 3rd/4th Year HVAC Apprentice
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Experience with residential HVAC installations and service
- Professional appearance and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Preferred Qualifications
- Gas "B" Ticket
- Refrigeration Ticket
- Boiler and hydronic heating experience
- Tankless water heater installation and servicing experience
- Sheet metal fabrication experience
- Electrical troubleshooting experience
