Dayna’s Pet Services Inc. (DPSI) is looking for individuals who are passionate about pet care!
We are Ottawa’s leading pet care providers. We offer a variety of fully-customizable pet care options that all take place in the client’s home. We care for all species of animals including dogs, cats, birds, pocket pets and exotics!
Our team understands the care that we provide brings peace of mind to our clients when they are at work or on vacation. We are looking to grow our team of professional pet care providers who value the health and wellbeing of all pets as much as we do!
Duties:
- Driving - travel between client homes in Ottawa and Gatineau in a safe and efficient manner
- Communication - provide updates with photos to clients at each visit
- Cat care - litter box, feed, water, medications (sometimes), play, snuggle
- Dog care - walks, backyard playtime, feed, medications (sometimes), snuggle
- Transports - transport animals in need between the Ottawa Humane Society and various Emergency Animal Hospitals
- Overnight care - sleep overnight in a client's home, keep the regular routine for their pets, walks, feed, medications (sometimes), lots of snuggles
- Home care - security check (perimeter), plant watering, bring in mail/packages, move curtains, alternate lights, putting down garbage bins or bringing in
- Goes without saying - MUST LOVE ANIMALS
Requirements:
- Exceptional time management
- Excellent communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Team player - communicate with your team and help to pick up shifts when possible
- Prepared for schedule changes
- Available to work weekends and holidays
- Available to work a combination of walks, check-ins, transports, and overnights
- Must have a reliable vehicle and a full valid drivers license
- Prior experience in the pet care and veterinary industry is considered an asset
