Starting Wage: $24.00/hour + biweekly tip share
We're looking for an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house team and help elevate our food program. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in quality and consistency, and enjoys bringing fresh ideas to the menu.
We're looking for someone who can lead by example, develop a strong kitchen culture, and contribute creatively through features, specials, and menu enhancements.
What You'll Do:
Kitchen Leadership
- Lead, coach, and support kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations
- Schedule and manage kitchen team members
- Maintain a positive, professional, and accountable work environment
- Train new employees and uphold company standards
- Foster teamwork and strong communication between front and back of house
Food Quality & Execution
- Ensure all dishes are prepared consistently and to standard
- Maintain high standards for presentation, quality, and guest satisfaction
- Monitor ticket times and kitchen efficiency during peak service periods
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed
Menu Development & Creativity
- Create and execute regular and seasonal features
- Develop specials that drive guest engagement and sales
- Contribute ideas for menu improvements and new offerings
- Work with management to enhance the overall dining experience
- Stay current with food trends and industry best practices
Inventory & Cost Control
- Manage inventory levels and ordering
- Minimize waste and control food costs
- Receive and inspect deliveries
- Maintain accurate inventory records
- Ensure kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cared for
Health & Safety
- Ensure compliance with Alberta Health Services regulations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
- Follow and enforce all food safety standards and procedures
What We're Looking For:
Required Qualifications
- Previous kitchen management, kitchen supervisor, or chef experience
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Experience managing food costs, inventory, and ordering
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Assets
- Experience creating menus, features, and daily specials
- Experience in hospitality, sports bars, pubs, or entertainment venues
- Food Safety Certification
- Experience with inventory and scheduling systems
