Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable HSE Coordinator to join our team. This role reports directly to the HSE Manager and is critical in ensuring compliance with environmental health regulations and promoting public health initiatives. The ideal candidate will be motivated and be able to multitask and prioritize objectives. Possess strong analytical skills, a commitment to safety, the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders
Duties:
- Conduct inspections of various facilities (on-site and around Edmonton) to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Deliver proactive coaching and solutions in a positive manner.
- Investigate concerns / incidents and provide preventative solutions.
- Lead safety meetings with staff.
- Provide guidance, support and training to NSC fleet drivers while maintaining carrier profile.
- Co-chair the Health and Safety Committee.
- Develop and implement training programs aimed at educating staff including; HSC committee members, supervisors, management, workers, etc.
- Provide proactive thinking to create plans to reduce/prevent incidents.
- Analyze data related to trends and prepare reports as required.
- Manage WCB claims and support supervisors/staff with modified work plans.
- Lead internal/external COR audits.
Requirements:
- Current ACSA COR auditor status.
- NCSO Certification.
- Experience with WCB claims management.
- OHS Certificate (preferred).
- Class 3 or better drivers license (preferred).
- Experience with provincial commercial fleets and carrier profiles (preferred).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A reliable vehicle and able to visit Edmonton build sites (1 day per week with mileage re-imbursement).
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

Education:
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
Experience:
- Health and Safety : 1 year (preferred)
- WCB claims and reporting: 1 year (preferred)
- Commercial Fleet : 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- NCSO (preferred)
- class 3 or higher license (preferred)
