Overview
We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, finishing, and repairing drywall in residential and commercial buildings. This role requires attention to detail, strong craftsmanship, and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment. Prior experience in construction and carpentry is highly valued, along with a solid understanding of blueprint reading and related skills. Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install drywall panels according to project specifications
- Finish drywall seams with taping, mudding, sanding, and texturing for a smooth surface
- Repair or replace damaged drywall sections as needed
- Apply caulking around seams and fixtures for a clean finish
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation
- Collaborate with other trades such as carpenters, painters, and handymen to complete projects efficiently
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety standards at all times
- Assist with related tasks such as painting or minor carpentry work when required
Qualifications
- Proven experience in drywall installation and finishing
- Knowledge of construction painting, carpentry, and handyman skills is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Strong understanding of caulking techniques and finishing methods
- Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license are preferred
