Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Persian Kebab Chef / Grill Cook to join our vibrant restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for authentic Persian cuisine, with proven skills in food preparation, grilling, and food service. This role involves preparing and cooking traditional kebabs and other Persian dishes, ensuring high-quality standards, and delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic Persian kebabs and grilled dishes according to traditional recipes and restaurant standards
- Handle food preparation tasks including marinating, seasoning, and portioning ingredients
- Operate grilling equipment safely and efficiently to produce high-quality meals
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Serve dishes promptly while maintaining presentation quality
- Assist in meal assembly and plating for dine-in service
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including cleaning grills, utensils, and work surfaces
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy hours
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs for restocking
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Persian Kebab Chef or Grill Cook in a restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of Persian cuisine, especially kebabs, rice dishes, and traditional seasonings
- Expertise in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices
- Prior experience in food service or the food industry is preferred
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent understanding of kitchen safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility to work during restaurant hours, including weekends if necessary
