Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. We have 2 shift openings. The first is Tuesdays from 2pm -7pm and Wednesdays from 9 am -7pm . We also have another shift Wednesdays from 9am-7pm. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing exceptional patient care, promoting oral health, and supporting a positive dental experience. This role offers an opportunity to work in a friendly, patient-centered environment with a focus on comprehensive dental hygiene services. Prior experience with dental office software and a passion for patient education are highly valued, but New Grads may apply.
Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Conduct oral health assessments and record findings accurately in the patient’s dental records
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
- Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and treatments as needed
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Manage patient appointments, confirm schedules, and ensure smooth clinic operations
- Maintain sterilization standards and ensure all dental instruments are properly sanitized
- Support administrative tasks such as updating patient records and handling patient inquiries with professionalism
Skills
- Proficiency with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software
- Knowledge of restorative, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively communicate with a diverse patient base
- Experience in dental assisting is an asset or working within a busy dental office environment
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to make patients feel comfortable and cared for
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dental care and treatment planning
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work well within a team
