Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician and Registered Veterinary Technician to join our compassionate veterinary team. The ideal candidate will assist veterinarians in providing high-quality care to animals, perform laboratory procedures, and support client education. Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and treatments to ensure smooth clinical operations.
- Collect and process laboratory samples, perform diagnostic tests, and interpret results to aid in accurate diagnosis.
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
- Provide compassionate patient care, including monitoring anesthesia and assisting with recovery.
- Educate pet owners on health care, medication administration, and post-treatment care instructions.
- Maintain detailed medical records and ensure proper documentation of all procedures performed.
- Support inventory management by ordering supplies and maintaining cleanliness of the treatment area.
Skills
- Proven laboratory experience with proficiency in diagnostic testing and sample processing.
- Experience for at least 2 years is a must.
- Strong understanding of animal anatomy, physiology, and common veterinary procedures.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in animal health and welfare.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to ensure accurate recordkeeping and compliance with protocols. Pay: $24.00-$36.02 per hour
