Blue Thunder Construction Ltd is looking for an experienced Steel Framer/helper to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and repairing frameworks for various building projects (commercial and residential), ensuring accuracy and safety on all phases of the project and supporting the smooth operations of the construction site as required.
The ideal applicant should have solid experience working on residential and commercial construction sites and be proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and interpreting technical drawings.
Responsibilities
- Install and assemble metal studs and structural frameworks following blueprints and technical specifications
- Perform metal stud framing and related construction tasks
- Operate hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and fit building materials
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to complete work accurately
- Support drywall installation, plastering, and other consrtuction processes when required
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and project requirements
- Work collaboratively with site supervisors and project teams to meet timelines
Skills
- Demonstrated experience in steel stud framing and related construction fields
- Strong carpentry and steel framing skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and reading blueprints
- Ability to safely lift heavy materials and work at heights
- Solid understanding of construction practices and workplace safety protocols
- Experience working on various types of construction sites and with multiple building materials
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Capable of working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
