We’re opening a brand new cannabis store right here in Strathmore, and are looking for the right person to help us build it from the ground up!

About the Role As our Assistant Store Manager, you’ll play a key part in launching the store and supporting its day-to-day success. You’ll be someone the ownership team can rely on, a steady, hands-on leader who helps set the tone for the team, supports customers, and keeps things running smoothly. In a town like ours, relationships matter. You’ll help create a welcoming, respectful space that customers want to come back to.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting daily store operations, including occasionally opening and closing
- Leading and supporting the team during shifts
- Assisting with hiring, onboarding, and training
- Helping maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked store
- Supporting inventory management and merchandising
- Providing knowledgeable, friendly customer service
- Ensuring compliance with all cannabis regulations and store policies
- Stepping in where needed and helping solve problems as they come up
- Other duties as required
What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone dependable, approachable, and ready to take ownership. You likely:
- Have cannabis retail leadership experience (supervisor, keyholder, or assistant manager)
- Are confident leading a team while staying hands-on
- Are organized, reliable, and follow through on responsibilities
- Have cannabis knowledge
- Enjoy connecting with people and being part of a community
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of retail experience (leadership experience preferred)
- Cannabis retail experience is an asset
- SellSafe certification required
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
- Successfully pass a criminal background check
