Tiny Genius Daycare is opening a brand-new, licensed centre in southwest Edmonton, and we're hiring the Program Director who will build it. This is a pedagogical leadership role, not a paperwork one. You'll set the tone for a play-based, inquiry-driven program grounded in Alberta's Flight framework, and you'll be the reason families choose us and educators stay.
We've invested heavily in this space and we intend to be one of the best centres in the city. The person who makes that real is you.
What you'll own
- Building and mentoring the educator team (a Level 1–3 mix) — raising everyday practice through coaching, modelling, and strong relationships
- Leading Flight-aligned programming and learning documentation families can see
- Creating an inclusive environment that welcomes and supports children of all abilities, including those with diverse needs
- Creating the culture: a workplace educators want to stay in, because low turnover is what quality really looks like
- Welcoming families — tours, enrolment, and the trust that earns them
- Keeping us fully compliant with the Early Learning and Child Care Act (ELCCA) and AHS standards, with real autonomy to run the floor
Who you are
- Current Level 3 (Child Development Supervisor) certification in good standing
- Someone who develops other educators, not just delivers great practice yourself
- Fluent and excited about Flight — able to point to programming or documentation you're proud of
- Experienced in inclusive practice and supporting children with diverse needs
- Comfortable building from zero: writing policy, equipping rooms, hiring a team
- Warm with families, steady with staff, organized under pressure
