ASDAC CNC Machining Ltd. is adding a CNC Machinist position to our team as one of our team members has recently retired.
ASDAC has been in business for over 30 years – serving both Canadian and International companies in a variety of industries such as Aerospace, Defence, Alternative Fuel Systems, Robotics, Oil & Gas, Food, Wineries, Custom homes and more.
We are currently looking for a CNC Machinist/Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate is an individual who is team-oriented, has a positive attitude and a desire to learn. This candidate also possesses the instinct to identify and resolve machining issues and the ability to continuously improve the machining process.
Note: We pay a competitive wage commensurate with experience.
Competencies:
- 5+ years of experience setting up and running 4 & 5 axis CNC Mills
- Familiar with G-Code and editing programs
- Experience with measurement equipment, i.e. gauges, calipers, etc.
- Experience with basic hand tools.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn and use multiple computer applications (including email, internet, and other job-specific applications).
- Basic math skills, including adding and subtracting decimals
- Ability to read, interpret and follow blueprints.
Bonus:
- Competent with lathes
- Competent with manual lathe and mill
- Experience with HAAS, OKUMA and MATSUURA machines
- Programming experience (Virtual Gibbs, G-Code)
A valid driver’s license is required. Shift work may be required during busy times.
This is a full time, permanent position. A history of working with tight tolerance components and high finish requirements is an asset.

Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand project requirements.
- Operate 4 & 5 axis CNC milling machines to produce precision parts.
- Identify and resolve machining issues
- Continuously improve the machining process
- Use calipers and other measuring tools to ensure accuracy of machined parts.
- Program CNC machines for specific tasks, utilizing knowledge of Mazatrol and Fanuc systems.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following lean manufacturing principles.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize assembly processes and meet production goals.

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
