Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in person and over the phone in identifying and purchasing correct parts
- Utilize an ERP system to track inventory, quotes, purchases, returns, sales and credits
- Promote sales and collect payment from customers
- Research, source, and purchase parts from various suppliers
- Manage and maintain inventory of parts and supplies
- Setup new customers and suppliers
- Inspect incoming shipments and maintain documentation of damages and shortships
- Ensure accurate documentation and record keeping of parts inventory
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts
- Collaborate with other departments to identify parts needs and fulfill requests
- Assist in the development and implementation of demand planning strategies
- Organize shipment for incoming and outgoing parts internationally
- Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices
- Mechanical knowledge to identify and understand various parts and components
- Proficiency in operating machinery or willingness to learn
- Excellent customer service skills and organizational abilities
- Ability to negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement
- Familiarity with demand planning processes to optimize inventory levels based on forecasted needs
