Vimar Equipment (vimarequipment.com) has an opportunity for an experienced Shipper/Receiver to join our growing team in Burnaby.
Reporting to the Parts Manager, this role is vital in ensuring the efficient movement of goods through accurate shipping, receiving, and materials management — from suppliers and deliveries through to our customers. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse distribution and inventory systems, contributing to seamless order fulfillment and transportation operations. Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive all incoming products and verify they are correct for product type/item, labeling, quantity, and condition. Communicate any deficiencies and non-conformances promptly.
- Put away stock in the warehouse correctly — properly bin-located, labeled, and stored in its assigned location.
- Handle all customer orders promptly, ensuring they are picked, packed, and accurately shipped on time or earlier. Respond on a priority basis to any rush/urgent customer demands or Sales/Service department requests.
- Perform stock inventory cycle counts or periodic counts as requested.
- Enter shipping information into the computer system accurately and promptly.
- Arrange transport/pick-up of all incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring all Bills-of-Lading and manifests are properly completed.
- Follow all operating processes and use all relevant safety practices and equipment.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and provide recommendations for new initiatives on an ongoing basis.
- Maintain a clean yard and grounds at the facility.
- Read, understand, and comply with the company’s Health and Safety Policies, Procedures, and Safe Work Practices.
- Keep the workplace clean and neat — sweep and dispose of garbage daily and dispose of unneeded used packaging materials (skids/boxes) weekly.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience is required.
- At least 2 years shipping/receiving experience.
- Experience with warehouse distribution and inventory systems is desired.
- Ability to lift 75 lbs. on a regular basis.
- At least 1-2 years forklift experience is preferred.
- Forklift license or willingness to obtain a license.
- Valid Driver’s License is required.
- Excellent command of the English language both verbal and written.
- Proficient with MS Office.
- Be a team player willing to perform hands-on tasks to get the job done while bringing a positive attitude to the workplace.
