About the Role
We're looking for a reliable, energetic, and customer-focused Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our convenience store team. If you thrive in a fast-paced retail environment, enjoy helping customers, and take pride in providing excellent service, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Greet every customer in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide outstanding customer service and create a welcoming shopping experience.
- Process cash, debit, credit, and lottery transactions accurately.
- Balance and maintain an accurate cash drawer.
- Assist customers with product inquiries and recommendations.
- Restock shelves, coolers, and displays throughout the day.
- Monitor product freshness and rotate inventory (FIFO), checking expiry dates as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked store.
- Receive deliveries and assist with inventory counts.
- Handle customer concerns professionally and respectfully.
- Follow all store procedures related to age-restricted products (tobacco, lottery, etc.).
- Perform opening, closing, and general housekeeping duties.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a fast-paced retail environment is required (convenience store, gas station, grocery, or fast food).
- Previous cash handling experience is required.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Comfortable multitasking in a busy environment.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays when scheduled.
