We are currently seeking and have an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Technical Sales Representative - Machine Tools based out of Calgary, AB.
This role involves establishing, building, and maintaining strong customer relationships - driving growth by identifying and developing new sales opportunities for machine tools, while providing technical expertise and tailored solutions to customers. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, technically knowledgeable sales professional with strong communication skills and a passion for delivering value in a customer-focused, travel-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical knowledge of machine tools to manufacturing end users
- Developing new machine tool sales opportunities
- Promoting all machine tool product lines
- Build strong and lasting customer relationships
- Expand and optimize market sales
- Effectively meet and/or exceed sales targets
- Frequent travel to customer sites throughout Alberta to provide technical service, define problems and provide solutions to the end user
- Maintain CRM contacts and opportunities
Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of CNC and conventional equipment gained through experience and/or education is a must
- Must be outgoing and persuasive
- Must have experience in business development
- Must be proactive, self-motivated, and a professional self-starter
- Must be computer literate, especially with Microsoft Office suite of products
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
- Frequent travel to customer sites throughout Western provinces is required
- CNC programming experience would be an asset
- Post-Secondary education would be an asset
