About the Role
The AI Specialist will develop and improve machine-learning systems used across GrowFund’s platform. The role focuses on data preparation, recommendation models, matching logic, model testing, and responsible use of AI.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop machine-learning models and recommendation systems.
- Prepare and analyze business, financial, and platform data.
- Build models that support credit-readiness insights and lender matching.
- Work with Software Engineers to integrate AI features into the platform.
- Test models for accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
- Monitor model performance and recommend improvements.
- Document datasets, model inputs, assumptions, and results.
- Support transparent, fair, and responsible AI practices.
- Explain technical findings to non-technical team members.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience in machine learning, applied AI, data science, or predictive analytics.
- Strong Python skills.
- Experience with Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar frameworks.
- Knowledge of feature engineering, supervised learning, anomaly detection, recommendation systems, or NLP.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Experience with fintech, lending, financial data, or risk analysis is an asset.
Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Vancouver, BC
