Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Heavy Vehicle (trucks and trailers) Mechanic who will conduct maintenance and repairs, and oversee daily operations in our shop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring high-quality service, and maintaining an organized and efficient work environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for customer satisfaction.
Willing to travel to the USA.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily shop operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
- Manage and train staff, providing guidance and support to foster a positive work environment.
- Maintain inventory levels, ordering supplies as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Monitor financial performance, including budgeting and expense management.
- Implement strategies to improve shop performance and increase sales.
- Conduct regular inspections of the shop to ensure cleanliness and organization.
Experience
- Previous experience in a managerial role in trucking a logistics industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in inventory management and basic financial principles.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with safety regulations relevant to the industry is a plus.
