Position Summary:
The Logistics & Distribution Associate is responsible for purchasing, packaging, and transporting goods throughout a defined regional area. This role combines procurement, inventory handling, and regional delivery, and requires regular driving using a company or personal vehicle (as applicable).This is a hands-on, operational role critical to ensuring locations receive the right products, on time, and in good condition.
Key Responsibilities:
Purchasing & Supply Support
- Purchase goods and supplies according to approved lists, budgets, and specifications
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely availability of products
- Verify product quality and quantities upon purchase
Packaging & Inventory Handling
- Package, label, and prepare goods for transport
- Organize and track inventory to prevent shortages or overstock
- Safe handling of goods to prevent/minimize damage
- Maintain clean and safe handling practices
Transportation & Delivery
- Transport goods between locations across the assigned region
- Load and unload products safely and efficiently
- Plan delivery routes to maximize efficiency and timeliness
- Maintain delivery records and confirm receipt
- Safe driving to avoid any fines or damage to goods
Vehicle & Safety Responsibilities
- Operate a vehicle safely and in compliance with traffic laws
- Perform basic vehicle checks (fuel, cleanliness, visible issues)
- Follow all company health and safety procedures while driving and handling goods
Communication & Coordination
- Communicate delivery timelines and issues to operations leadership
- Report delays, shortages, or damaged goods promptly
- Support operational needs as required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Ontario G-class driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- Ability to lift and carry packages (up to 25 kg weight)
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and self-directed
- Comfortable with regional driving throughout the GTA and surrounding areas
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in logistics, delivery, warehouse, or operations roles
- Familiarity with purchasing or inventory tracking
- Knowledge of the Greater Toronto Area road network
Working Conditions
- Regular driving throughout the region
- Combination of indoor packaging work and vehicle operation
- Standing, lifting, and carrying required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
