Security Building Supplies in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan has an opportunity for a Yard/Warehouse Worker to join our team. This person will report to the Operations Manager.
Duties:
- Look after contractors and helping customers find products, load/unload vehicles.
- Work safely and abide by Occupational Health & Safety standards.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment such as Forklift safely and efficiently
- Ensuring compliance to company safety policies and SOP's
- Picking, Prepping, Batching and Packaging customer orders.
- Use proper material handling techniques to ensure minimal damage to products.
- Maintain the warehouse and yard areas ensuring cleanliness at all times.
- Ability to operate - MITRE Saw and Table Saw.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a busy environment.
- Ensure all products leaving the yard are thoroughly packaged safely.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions as applicable to position.
- Prior knowledge of operating Hand scanners will be beneficial however training will be provided.
- Ability to drive a 3-Ton or 5-Ton truck is required.
- Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
Requirements:
- Own steel-toed boots
- Knowledge and experience in shipping and receiving would be beneficial
- Forklift certification would be an asset but willing to train the right person.
- Become knowledgeable about all products stored in the yard.
- Be physically fit and able to lift large, heavy and bulky objects up to 80lbs without struggle.
- High attention to detail in all areas of work.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
